Ptara is a team of filmmakers, writers, artists and historians dedicated to becoming masters of our talent and creating Masterworks. Oh, and we like to entertain too.
We are currently based in Aberystwyth, Wales, and we have plans for projects as far afield as Belgium, the North Pole, and even Manchester. We’ve produced a variety of short films, from teachers aids for the classroom to entertaining historical spoofs. We make films and videos for government services, educational institutions, business and leadership coaches, and many others. And we also write stories for websites and print.
We shoot and edit films, and get them ready for distribution on DVD.
Films, movies, motion pictures, videos, whatever you want to call them, they don't come out of nowhere. Whether it's an instructional video you need, or a night of entertainment, we are putting together the films to make great ideas into reality. The process doesn't end when the camera stops rolling either, we cut and polish every shot to ensure that we have an entertaining film which suits the audience it was intended for.
We get the stories ready to tell
Our head writer tells stories all the time, on the web, at night, in the morning. These stories seem to come out of nowhere, but the secret is in the preparation. You wouldn't construct a building without a blueprint, or a car, so why risk it in a film? Our pre-production process consists of constructing a story, planning shots, and putting together a schedule and budget. We have experience writing stories for all kinds of budgets.
After this, we ensure those involved in the production are ready to do their jobs. Then, when everyone has seen the script, schedule, storyboard and location, we are ready to begin filmming.
